Peter Grigg Speaker at April Sports Luncheon
Due to popular demand from those lucky enough to attend the Grand Slam Luncheon in November last year, Peter Grigg has agreed to be the guest speaker at the Sports Luncheon to be held on Tuesday the 13th April at the Rugby Club.
As those who attended the luncheon will agree Peter is a wonderfully entertaining speaker, he had the audience in stitches with his renditions of the events of the Grand Slam Tour in 1984. This is a luncheon not to be missed.
Peter is a former Wallaby winger who played 25 Tests for Australia and is in the 'One Hundred Club' for playing 109 games for Queensland. Peter played for Australia from 1980 until 1987, winning the Bledisloe Cup in 1979, 1980 and 1986. He was a member of the 1984 Grand Slam Touring Team. Peter also coached the QLD under 21's team in 2000/01 and also coached in Japan for four years.
Book your seats quickly as this luncheon will sell out.

Club Renovations and New Caterers
Stage one of the renovations to the ground floor World Cup Bar and the first floor Waratah Room are now complete. Members and guests will love the new atmosphere of the new bars. New openings have been made onto the beer garden allowing natural light into the bar. A new alfresco area has also been created in the ground floor World Cup Bar.
New caterers started at the club this year, the new menus are fantastic with a huge variety of meals to suit anybodies tastes. We have been overwhelmed by the response from members, who have eaten in both the bistro and the restaurant.
Juicy Char-grilled steaks, grilled fish, wraps and salads are now on the menu at the outdoor grill. Our famous burgers are still on the menu and are now upgraded to include chips and garden fresh salads.
