NSWCHSSA Girl's Rugby 7s

The Rugby Club Foundation was proud to support the inaugural NSW Combined High Schools Sports Associations’ Girl's Rugby 7s program. The program provided exposure to Rugby 7s for secondary students in public schools across NSW and allowed the girls an opportunity to represent their school, region and state, as well as assisting their Rugby development.

The success of the program was seen in the attendance numbers across the state and in the number of girls who went on to achieve representative honours. The NSWCHSSA girls made up 11 of the 24 places on the NSW All Schools Squad, three were selected to attend the Rugby Australia emerging 7s camp and Georgina Tuipulotu debuted for the Waratahs Super W side making her the youngest Waratah to debut in history.

The Rugby Club Foundation is excited to follow the progress of the program and its players in the years to come.

The NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association (NSWCHSSA) as part of its charter, provides students with a comprehensive Rugby Program under the leadership of Craig Howe (NSWCHSSA Rugby Convener) from Grafton High School.

The Association provides a Rugby program for approximately 400,000 students (both boys and girls) who attend government schools, and the teaching staff of these schools.
