The Rugby Club Foundation was proud to support the inaugural NSW Combined High Schools Sports Associations’ Girl's Rugby 7s program. The program provided exposure to Rugby 7s for secondary students in public schools across NSW and allowed the girls an opportunity to represent their school, region and state, as well as assisting their Rugby development.

What, how and when the referee communicates is a key part of their skillset, and referee coaches need to hear this communication to best help the referee to improve.

The Gosford Rugby Club decided to provide an opportunity (which was not currently available) for females to play Rugby in in the Gosford area. The Rugby Club Foundation supported their endeavour and is proud to report that Gosford Rugby Club went from having no standalone female teams in 2020, to having the most junior female players of any club in the junior competition.

The decision was prompted by the NSW Government announcing an extension to the current stay at home orders for regional NSW until September 10.
